JYO is registered as the non-profit organization of Taoyuan City Jungli Youth Orchestra Association in Taiwan. It was established in 2010 for young music lovers in the northern part of Taiwan and includes a youth orchestra, a junior ensemble and a kids-beginner group, with 130 young people aged from 5 to 25 performing two annual concerts and a concert abroad. Last summer, JYO was invited to “The Prodigy Collective: An International Gathering of Youth Orchestras” to celebrate the 50th funding anniversary for Queensland Youth Orchestras (QYO) in Brisbane, Australia.

We joined the youth orchestra festival with QYO, Macau Youth Symphony Orchestra, Mannheim Youth Symphony Orchestra and Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra from August 3 to 5 in venues in Brisbane. JYO is planning to go on another tour this year to attend “13eme Le Festival Provençal des Orchestres de Jeunes.” Two concerts will be held at Cathédrale de St-Sauveur, Aix-en- Provence on July 21 and at Abbaye Saint-Michel de Frigolet, Tarascon on July 23 with Orchestre Quipasseparlà from Switzerland.
