The board of the World Federation of Amateur Orchestra wish all our members, orchestra friends and partners around the world a merry Christmas and a happy new year! 2019 has been eventful, with a fruitful conference in Singapore in March, and participation at the IMC World Forum on Music. We see our members actively engaged in orchestra music making, for youth, adults, students and professionals, creating exciting projects. Through the network of WFAO many great exchange projects are made possible, and we hope to see and follow even more in the future.
In 2020 we look forward to an exciting conference in Tokyo, June 4 – 7. At the same time, the World Amateur Festival Orchestra and the World Amateur Orchestra Forum will be organized. Musicians and music leaders from all over the world will play together and discuss common topics, with the goal of strengthening bonds and friendship, and the orchestra music making across boarders.
We wish you all happy holidays, and relaxing days, before another year of orchestra music begins!
